The greatest advantage of using water plasma to decompose organic matter is that it can be effectively decomposed by OH radicals (hydroxyl radicals), which have the strongest oxidizing power among active oxygen species.
The temperature at the center of water plasma reaches over 20,000°C, and this extremely high temperature decomposes organic matter.
The OH, O, and H radicals generated when water is turned into plasma combine with elements such as carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, and chlorine from the decomposed organic matter to become carbon dioxide, hydrogen, water, etc.
By rapidly cooling the gas after plasma treatment, the generation of dioxins is suppressed.
